About this practice

Domestic Violence Injunctions sits inside our Family Law practice.

Family law is where documents become life. We prepare financial affidavits, parenting plans, and support worksheets with the same rigor we bring to any civil trial — because a judge will live with them for years.

They treated me like family. Recovered more than I thought possible and they did it in Spanish when I couldn't do it in English.

We were facing deportation and lost. Maria walked us through every filing. Today we are legal permanent residents.

The construction company denied everything. Gallardo's team had the medical records, site photos, and depositions lined up. We settled for more than double the original offer.

Common Questions

Answers that cite the statute.

Is Florida a 50/50 custody state?

After 2023 reforms, Florida applies a rebuttable presumption of equal time-sharing. Courts can deviate based on the statutory best-interest factors.

How long is alimony in Florida?

Permanent alimony was eliminated in 2023. Durational alimony is now capped based on marriage length — generally no more than 50% of the marriage's duration for short marriages, 60% for moderate, 75% for long.

Do I have to go to trial?

Most divorces resolve at mediation. Trial is the backstop if a fair agreement is not achievable.
